I'm Baaaaaaaack!

Happy New Year people! Sorry it is 27 days late.

Not blogged since September, and last entry was fairly depressing, again sorry about that. Will try not to depress any more.

Not a lot has happened since September. We had the Panto in December, as usual I was in control of the lighting board, but I also gelled and positioned lights for this one. Could have a massive rant about theatre stuff, but not going to as I would be here for hours. So will finish talking about the theatre.........now.

Other theatre news!!! Not Biggar Theatre Workshop, but The Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. Through a friend of a friend of my mums, I decided to ask the technical manager if there was any chance of work experience. I got an email back saying I could go in and shadow one of their technicians. I was quite chuffed. As I was focused on Panto, he said I should contact him when we were done. But being a complete idiot, I forgot. So a few days ago I sent a very apologetic email saying that I was sorry for waiting so long to get back in touch and that I'm still interested. An hour or so ago, I got a reply saying that their next production is in April and I've to get in touch closer to the time to set a date. I will not forget again, I've written it down this time. But still, YAY!

Other work experience news. My guidance teacher at school is very aware of how interested I am in technical theatre, so when she got an email the other day from Scottish Opera offering work experience to pupils, I was the first person that popped into her head. So tomorrow I am going into school to tell her I am very interested and decide when I will be going. Another YAY!

Christmas and New Year went well. Got lovely new things for Christmas, and did nothing for New Year (went to bonfire, watched Father Ted, went to bed). Spent most of the holidays playing Lego Harry Potter. Time well spent.

Prelims are going on at the moment. History paper 1, English and Maths are out of the way, still got a few to go. Will not go into further detail as it will get depressing.

That's it for now for another few months.
Pip pip, ta ta, cheerio.

Sore Head, Ankle and Back.

Hey y'all.

First of all, did well on exams. 2 As, 5 1s and a 2. If that makes sense.

Fifth year is already turning out to be a bitch and I'm only 3 weeks in. Every subject everyday, double periods everyday, heavy school bag and a hell of a lot of homework. And it doesn't help that teachers are taking some kind of pleasure in telling us that "higher is not like Standard Grade in anyway. It is much harder and if you didn't get a 1 in your Standard Grade you are probably not going to do well in higher." I already know that higher is going to be very hard. I don't need to be reminded all the time. So I have a sore head because I get headaches when I'm feeling stressed (or unwell, and I have a cold starting) and my back is sore because of my heavy school bag.

Doesn't help that on Saturday I had a rather painful encounter involving my razor and my ankle. And that it only stopped bleeding on Tuesday. So I've been hobbling around for a few days.

Argh!! RANT, RANT!!

Sorry, shouldn't take out frustrations on blog.

Well, I get to look forward to getting back behind a lighting desk soon hopefully. That is always a nice thought.

Again, sorry for the depressing rant.

Take Me To The Quarry And I’ll Get A Little Bolder

I was trying to think of a title for this blog, so I typed in 'funny titles' into Google and scrolled to the bottom of the page to find a link for Funny Song Titles. Some of them were brilliant, and that is where I got todays title. Some others were:

I Wouldn't Take Her To A Dog Fight, Cause I'm Afraid She'd Win

I’ve Been Flushed From The Bathroom Of Your Heart

How Can I Miss You If You Won't Go Away?

I don't know whether or not to start a trend on Twitter with these, because some of them are hilarious.

Anyway, we had a good holiday. Apart from dropping a cupboard door on my toe. So I hobbled everywhere for a week.

Exam results come in tomorrow. Doing my best to remain calm over it. I've done all I can.

Well I've got hair to dry and dishes to wash so I'll stop rambling.

Holidays!

Haven't blogged in a while. Twitter taking up most of my time, and Facebook (not so much).

Well it's the holidays and on Saturday myself, sister and the parental units are off to Wales for 2 weeks. Looking forward to it. We are saying goodbye to the caravan and going for a lodge. So. That's about it.

Exam results out in August. Quite nervous. Trying not to think about it. So blogging about it isn't really helping matters, so I will stop now.

Now that I've finished, I could've probably summed this up in a couple of tweets, so what was the point? Oh well.

Sayonara dudes!!

This Post Is Not Worth A Proper Title

I've put up the answers for the Music Meme.

In other news, I am in the middle of my exams. I have already had my Music, English, Maths, History and French, and my next one is Graphics. Most have gone alright so far but, especially Maths, I am not so confident on.

Apart from that nothing interesting is happening around here.

This Could Be Fun, Or Just Boring.

Music Meme

I saw this game on Matthew's blog and thought I would give it a go. So like I said in the title, this could be fun, or boring.

The Rules
--------------------------
Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line (or a few ;)) from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Italicise the lyrics and post the details when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: For those who are guessing -- looking the lyrics up on a search engine is CHEATING!Step 5: If you like the game post your own.

[Enter Title Here]

Hope everyone is having a Happy New Year.

There are many things I am looking forward to this year. The new series of Desperate Housewives and True Blood. New CDs (Ben Folds, Muse who knows?). OK, that's not many things but it's a few to start with.

At school we have started choosing our 5th year subjects. I have decided to take 5 highers. I have been told repeatedly that I am crazy, and I probably am, but anyhoo. Higher English, Maths, History, Physics and Music. No, I'm serious.

The snow has gone! Finally. I think it got to the point when it was just boring. Not being able to drive anywhere. But it has gone, so now no one has an excuse not to come to school, or go to work.

Apart from that life is pretty boring. As always.

Enjoy.
